How To: Brownie Trifle | AS SEEN ON DAYTIME

The Brownie Trifle made with Everything Elaine Brownies is a lazy chocolate lover's dream. It's the easy delectable dessert sure to be a star at any gathering.



Items We Used:


Step 1

Procure brownies from https://www.everythingelaine.com/brownies or choose to bake your own. If baking your own, allow sufficient cooling time prior to beginning the project.


Step 2

Make your 3 boxes of instant pudding and chill it. (1 hour)


Step 3

Crumble half of your brownies into the trifle bowl.


Step 4

Add a layer of chilled instant pudding on top of your brownie crumble in the triffle bowl. Pour it in, use a spatula to smooth it out some, but DO NOT PRESS DOWN. Keep it light and easy pressure, we’re just leveling it. Not smashing it down.


Step 5

Add a layer of whipped topping. Again, use a spatula and smooth it on. 1 to 2 inches deep. DO NOT PRESS DOWN. Just use the spatula to smooth it out and keep a level surface.


Step 6

Add more brownie crumbles. Again, 1 to 2 inches of them just lightly tossed in. Don’t over think it and don’t press them in. This dessert has lots of air pockets and imperfections. It’s perfectly imperfect!


Step 7

Add a layer of chocolate pudding. Repeat same process as above.


Step 8

Add a layer of whipped cream. Repeating same layer as before.

You will continue to make layers until you get to the top of the trifle bowl. You want your TOP LAYER to be whipped topping. Keep that in mind as you continue to layer.


Step 9

Garnish your top layer with nuts, sprinkles, mini-chocolate chips, etc.

You can also get creative with spreading the topping so it has peaks or swirls. Go crazy! This desert takes just 15 minutes to assemble and tastes like a million bucks!


*Want to be really extra? Tie a sparkly bow on the base of the triffle bowl or add some silk flowers or other embellishments. You can also use a simple cake pick or topper on this dessert.


**HOW TO SERVE TRIFLE:

GET A GIANT SERVING SPOON WITH A LONG HANDLE.

TO PROPERLY SERVE YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SCOOP ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TRIFFLE DISH AND PULL OUT A SERVING IN ONE MOTION.

YOUR DESSERT SHOULD LOOK THE SAME ON YOUR PLATE AS IT DOES IN THE DISH. SHOWCASING ALL THOSE FABULOUS LAYERS.
