Items We Used:
1 package Everything Elaine Brownies OR You can bake your own.
4 ½ inch x ¼ inch popsicle sticks or decorative sticks
1 cup Vanilla or chocolate melting chocolate wafers, or chocolate chips
Small drinking glass 8 oz
Sprinkles of choice
Food coloring
Wax paper or parchment paper
Flat cookie sheet pan
Satin ribbon
*Optional chopped nuts, sprinkles or other edible adormentments.
Step 1
Purchase brownies from https://www.everythingelaine.com/brownies or choose to bake your own. If baking your own, allow sufficient cooling time prior to beginning the project.
Place your boujie brownies into the refridgerator for 1 hour. Brownies must be refrigerator cold for decorating.
Step 2
Cover a cookie sheet or flat baking pan with wax or parchment paper.
Step 3
Remove brownies from fridge and cut boujie brownies in half. (pro-tip: use a butter knife as it will easily cut and minimize crumbling) If using your own brownies, they should be cut into rectangles approximately 3 inches x 1 ½ inches.
Step 4
Place your brownie rectangles onto popsicle sticks and place onto your parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Once ALL brownies are on sticks place into the fridge for 10 minutes.
Step 5
While your brownies are getting nice and cold prepare your chocolate to dip them into. For this, we used an 8 ounce drinking class and 6 ounces of chocolate melts. Microwave the chocolate in the glass for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring it every 30 seconds or so until it is smooth. Once smooth you need to move quickly onto the next step.
Step 6
Remove brownies from refrigrator. Dip each brownie approximately halfway into the melted chocolate. You want full coverage of your brownie so dip it in nice and slow. Remove it slowly and place it onto your parchment paper lined baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, use your edible glitter, pearls or other garnishes to decorate your pops.
REPEAT the dip and garnish with ALL brownies on a stick. Once all your brownies are dipped and decorated, place the entire sheet of them back into freezer for about 10-15 minutes until chocolate has completely hardened.
Step 7
Using satin or glittered ribbon tie a bow around your finished brownie
pop stick, for that WOW factor.
*Optional: Use decorative popsicle sticks for extra flair!
*Optional: if taking to a party or giving as a gift, pop a cello bag over your brownie pop BEFORE tying the ribbon. You’ll use your ribbon to tie the cello bag OVER the brownie pop.
